Over the past fifteen years, Eoghan has traveled the globe, creating and recording music as both an artist and producer. He has sharpened his production skills through collaborations with industry legends, including Chris Kimsey (The Rolling Stones), Grammy Award Winner Dave Odlum (The Frames), and Ron 'Bumblefoot' Thal (Guns N' Roses / Asia / Sons Of Apollo) among others. In 2021, Eoghan combined his extensive experience and expertise by opening Wildwater Studios, a creative space designed to foster musical innovation and collaboration.
Guitarist / Composing History
As a guitarist, Eoghan has toured and shared the stage with music legends such as Spencer Davis, Bobby Kimball, Chris Slade, and Ron ‘Bumblefoot’ Thal, among many others. His latest project, The Midnight Preachers, has released a critically acclaimed EP, featuring a lead single that debuted at number 2 on iTunes in Ireland, while the second single earned a nomination for Track of the Week in Classic Rock Magazine—all songs written or co-written by Eoghan.
In addition to his work as a performer, Eoghan is an accomplished songwriter whose music has been showcased in television, documentaries, and films. Notably, he co-wrote, produced, mixed, and performed on "To The Crows," a single from The Midnight Preachers, released on June 14, 2022, to accompany the US film ‘Erzulie.’ This film was not only released in US cinemas but also later streamed on Netflix.
Awards & Achievements
As part of Shadowplay / The Rain, Eoghan was winner of the Budweiser Future Sounds Competition, the Hot Press Lift Off Competition as well as the Summit Bandslam Award. Eoghan was also awarded the Irish Government’s Music Capital Award Scheme in 2013 as a solo musician.
Music Camps
Eoghan has organised and hosted music camps with world renowned music talent such as Ron ‘Bumblefoot’ Thal. This involved co-ordinating music talent from all over the world, booking venues, hotels, food, flights and more. These camps are sponsored by some of the world’s most well known music companies – including DiMarzio, Vigier, Klotz Cables and more.
Brand Ambassador
Eoghan has been an Endorsed Artist / Brand Ambassador for many well known music companies – including Vigier Guitars (2012 – Present), DiMarzio Electronics (2017 – Present), Breedlove Guitars (2018 – Present), AMT Electronics (2014 – Present) and more. This work has involved representing the above companies at the world’s largest trade shows, such as NAMM & Frankfurt Musikmesse.
Eduacation / Lecturing
Eoghan holds an Honours Bachelor Degree in Music and History, along with a Master’s in Irish History, where his dissertation concentrated on the role of music in shaping Irish identity. He achieved Grade 8 in Pianoforte from the Royal Irish Academy of Music, studying under the esteemed pianist Ruth McGinley.
Since 2011, Eoghan has been lecturing on accredited academic courses at American universities, covering topics such as music in Ireland, peace and conflict resolution, and Irish history. His teaching engagements have included esteemed institutions like UMASS Amherst, Alverno, St. Olaf College, and Boston College. Throughout this work, he has collaborated with notable figures such as Nobel Peace Prize Winner John Hume and various Irish mayors and politicians.
